ONE of the most enduring showbiz figures ever to emerge from Glasgow is Marie McDonald McLaughlin Lawrie, better known as Lulu.
Born in Dennistoun in 1948, she was a success as early as 1964 with her single Shout.
Throughout the 60s and 70s, the hits kept coming and Lulu also won respect for her acting, most notably in To Sir With Love, starring Sydney Poitier.
Still a star after four decades, Lulu is pictured here signing autographs for fans at the height of her fame.
