Edit Memories of Glasgow
I WANT TO ADD TO THIS COMMENT, REGARDING MY HEALTH. I'M RECOVERING FROM BREAST CANCER, IVE HAD CHEM, RADIATION AND A MASTECTOMY, I'M STILL ON A CANCER DRUG THAT I HAVE TO BE ON FOR 5YEARS. I'M WRITING TO INFORM MY COUSINS IN GLASGOW ABOUT THIS MATTER IN CASE THEY NEED TO CHECK UP ON THIS. COUSIN CATHERINE DOW, USED TO LIVE ON APPIN RD., I DON'T KNOW HER MARRIED NAME, ALSO ALEXIS SMITH, LILLIAN, AND CAROLINE, THEY USED TO LIVE IN EAST KILBRIDE/ RUCHAZIE.
My late father Eric Elrick was brought up in Dennistoun. His father was a tram driver andmy mother used to tell a story that he was - either the first electric tram driver or the last horse drawn tram driver - but I could never get any further information. They lived in Rowchester Street and apparently there was a tram depot there. I speak about around 1900's Father went to Rowchester Street school and there is a photograph of the school football team in the Maryhill site. I sent this photo to the E.T and as I lived in Maryhill I think those were put here in error. My dad was 11 when the photo was taken. A ny info would be helpful.
